We don't sell houses, are not part of a large organisation and are fully independent.
We have been here since 1986 – We must be doing something right!
We survey and value residential property for private Clients and that is all that we do. (To be entirely honest, we do take a small number of instructions from some of the Banks and Building Societies, Relocation Companies, House Builders taking houses in part exchange, etc).
We provide a competitively priced service to our Clients and give professional advice that frequently saves those Clients money – Often thousands of pounds.
Our expertise is in the survey and valuation of houses, flats and land.
We deal only with professional work that is our speciality and chosen area of expertise. That way we give the best that we have to offer to all of our Clients and there is no area of compromise.
If we don’t consider that we can offer a Client sufficient in the way of experience and expertise we will always make the recommendation for another surveyor or expert to deal with a case.
We don’t deal with much in the way of commercial property work, unless it’s small scale and within our area of experience. Friends in the commercial property world do likewise, and we cross refer Clients between us when the need arises.
TO SUMMARISE:
Before you move, you need us. Our world is black and white. There are no grey areas. We take a detached view because that's our job.
We tell you what's wrong and what problems you will need to rectify now, soon or in due course.
This is what you need to know before you buy.
Estate Agents don't 'value'. They give marketing advice.
They have little idea of condition unless the house they are marketing is obviously in need of repair!
They have no interest in letting you know if there are faults, as that may prevent you from expressing an interest, viewing and possibly buying.
In many respects, the last thing they want you to do is engage a Surveyor to establish property condition. By doing so, the Estate Agent can anticipate more work being needed to sell the house. Renegotiation of the purchase price is a perfect example!
We value based on condition.
