INTRODUCING BOWES GARDNER CHARTERED SURVEYORS

IMPORTANT : See 'The Current Market'

The most effective way of describing what we do and why we are of use to Clients is probably best summed up by the following quote, extracted from "The Secret Agent", the regular article written by a London Estate Agent in the Sunday Times Home supplement.

This is from 6 January 2008 and describes the Agents meeting with a Surveyor known to him.

"He looks tired and as crumpled as his shirt as he heaves the tools of his trade towards his company car.  Time was, pre-corporate estate agency, when surveyors were looked up to by the industry; when it was a prerequisite qualification to a junior partnership and the riches of ownership and profit share.

Now my acquaintance labours under the yoke as I do - he has to churn out half a dozen mortgage valuations a day, couching his reports in enough opacity to avoid being sued at a later date".

This is why we are here, to provide Clients with effective and valuable information that is of considerably greater use than the vague, non informative and, as far as the mortgage valuer is concerned, protective report provided to the mortgage lender.

For over 20 years, we have specialised in the production of private Survey Reports for Clients who appreciate that by spending a little more than the basic cost of a mortgage valuation they enter the transaction to buy their new home fully informed and, in many cases, with information that results in re-negotiation of the purchase price.

This site will tell you what we offer in the way of professional services and we are always available to talk to potential Clients, without commitment on your part.

There's a lot of information on the site, some incorporated into what we describe as "Tales from a Surveyors Life", where we have tried to lighten the tone a little and make the content a little more interesting, as well as providing "real world" examples of some typical building faults.
